Help Line


Help-line 0203 16118 provides service in Finnish and English Mon-Wed 15-18.

Victim Support Finland maintains a nationwide help line that offer the possibility to talk with somebody who understands what a crime experience can mean to a victim. The helpers are volunteers specially trained to the task. The helpers listen to the victim and offer practical information.

Legal advice


Legal help-line 0203 16117 provides service Mon-Thu 17-19.
Notice: The service is only in Finnish.

Crime victims are often uncertain about their status in our legal system. Legal advice by phone offers victims the chance to find out their legal rights and to receive guidance in such matters. The legal advice service is meant for individual citizens who have become victims of crimes. The volunteer lawyers providing the service give general practical advice, e.g. how to get something done and where to turn for help. The objective is to recognize the rights of the victims and to advise them in finding suitable.

Rikunet is an online support service where you can present your questions anonymously.

Support persons


Crime victims, their close ones and witnesses may obtain a support person when found necessary. A support person can accompany the victim when attending police hearings, court sessions, assist in filing for a restraining order or applying for compensation. With the support person you may discuss your crime experience and consider further actions. Support persons are carefully chosen and trained volunteers.
