Legal advice 0800 161 177
The legal advice telephone service is available Mon – Thurs (5 pm – 7 pm). When calling, the victim of crime has the opportunity to check his/her legal rights and receive advice in these respects. Typical questions are issues related to applying for a restraining order, reporting a crime, going to court and compensation for damages. You can also call the helpline anonymously.
Volunteering lawyers, who have been appointed for the task, will answer the calls. Callback requests are not responded to in the service. An on-call phone operator can usually be contacted during the opening hours.
The Legal advice operates mainly in Finnish. If you want to contact our services in English, we recommend to use the contact request form.
